CC File Transfer can work on LAN/Intranet as LAN file transfer software, and on WAN/Internet as Internet file transfer software. Following is how CC File Transfer transfers files on LAN and on WAN when you directly connect to Internet (e.g. your PC has fixed Internet IP or connect with ADSL directly etc). See how to share files with Internet friends:
Step 1. After launch CC File Transfer, drag files from Windows Explorer into CC File Transfer. Tell your friends the address (both URL and Port) displayed on infobar (just below toolbar). Default is "Share as auth", right select file(s) can change to "Share as free".
Step 2. Click "Account" button in toolbar to create a whitelist account for your friend. You can choose authentication of specified IP address or user name + password. Also you can grant download, upload and remove right to this account.
Step 3. Your friend can now open Internet Explorer (or Firefox etc.) and enter the address you provided to visit your sharing files. According to whitelist account, your friend can download/upload files, or remove files from sharing (will not delete).
Step 4. If authentication is user name + password, your friend will only see free resource at step 3. Click Login link to input his/her authentication information, then your friend can see all your sharing files.
