µTorrent è un client per BitTorrent molto interessante, il cui punto forte è il basso utilizzo della memoria e della CPU (rispetto ad altri client torrent come Azureus o BitComet).

Da qualche tempo è in public beta una WebUI, che consente di controllare µTorrent da remoto, tramite browser.

Old CPU version is designed for computer with CPU that have only the standard MMX instruction set (and not SSE), such as some AMD Duron processors which are not capable to run the regular version.

the regular version is tuned to work on CPU that has the pentium-3 instruction set at least.

Why 2 versions: Because the old cpu version may be much (really much) slower than the new CPU version, but work on CPU starting from Pentium-MMX (so very old CPU)
